Voila! Our new Bonus Room! March 3, 2007

Well here you go folks, for those of you who’ve been following along in our bonus room project & new custom built bookshelves – we are proud to say they are done and they look FABULOUS! Drum roll please… … … …

Now there are still some small details I need to add – lamps, side tables, baskets, frames, etc. for the bookshelves. I can’t wait to get to figure out window treatments (actually for the whole house) and framed art…and…I suppose the list always goes on. But for the most part, Bonus Room CHECK!

Here’s the sleeper sectional we bought in December – one day this will serve as the “guest suite” – Mrs. O is always thinking ahead! Not sure about the old bench coffee table, I just don’t wanna close up the open feel with a big table…we’ll see. In the back of the room we got to finally hang some of Chris’ favorite golf memorabilia. And there’s the ugly wire Chris still has to fix hanging down from the surround speakers. (I can’t believe Mr. P left such a sight – just kidding Uncle T!) Always a project…

Entrance view – there’s our bathroom to the left, previous owners carved out some attic space for this little luxury! And two of my favorite pieces I finally found a home for – my old toy box from when I was a child now houses McKinley’s toys & the big red chair we love so much appears to be staying with us. (Door to the right is huge storage closet – hoping to turn that into a “mini” playroom for the girl.)
